Skin Prep
To prepare for any appointment, please:
Come in with clean skin, no makeup at all! Lotions and SPF are safe to apply so long as they have zero concealer. Clean skin is necessary to be able to maximize your time during the appointment.
Bring your products with you… or snap a picture of what you are using. We need to be aware of EVERY product coming into contact with your skin.
Be ready to discuss your medical history and lifestyle habits. Your skin is an organ and everything is related.
Avoid any sensitizing medications for 2 weeks prior, if you are not sure, check with your doctor.
Avoid exfoliation of any kind for 3-5 days.
Post Care
Proper aftercare is crucial for optimal healing and results following skin care treatments. Here are some essential guidelines to follow:
Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight for at least a week. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) if you must go outside.
Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser. Avoid scrubs, exfoliants, or harsh cleansers for at least a week.
Moisturize: Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and promote healing. Look for products without fragrances or irritants.
No Picking or Scratching: Avoid picking at peeling skin or scabs to prevent scarring and infection.
Limit Makeup: Refrain from wearing makeup for at least 24-48 hours, or as advised by your provider. When you do resume, use gentle, non-comedogenic products.
Avoid Hot Water: Use lukewarm water when washing your face and avoid hot showers or baths for a few days.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help support your skin’s healing process.
Follow Your Provider’s Instructions: Always adhere to any specific post-care instructions given by your skincare professional.
Monitor for Reactions: Watch for any signs of excessive redness, swelling, or infection, and contact your provider if you have concerns.
Shannon reserves the right to refuse services to anyone for any reason. There is a $50 cancellation fee for any appointment canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment time. This is non negotiable and no exceptions will be made. If you make an appointment you are abiding by this policy.
If you are under 18 years of age, you MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Shannon is not able to preform services with unattended children present as it can pose a safety issue. Per the facilities policy, children also cannot be left unattended in the lobby. Please call in advance if you have issues with childcare. We will happily reschedule you.
Please note: Deposits for services are non-refundable, but can be applied as a credit towards any of Shannon's services, so if you change your mind, you have a lot of options.
